Group Activity Programs

If you have participants who love hands-on activities like DIY, arts and crafts, or want to make a positive impact on the environment through recycling, these sessions are perfect for them. | Overview | We’re excited to be working with Greenhouse Café and the Darwin Plastic Makers Space on an exciting new project. Together, we’ll explore the world of recycling, using plastic bottle lids and specialised machines to create a unique tabletop, that will be proudly showcased and used at the Greenhouse Café – pretty cool, right?
This project is both fun and purposeful. It’s a chance to socialise, put your teamwork skills to work, and collaborate in a small group of people. Our space is safe and comfortable, allowing your creative juices to flow freely. While this is our main project, we’ll also work on smaller side projects to get ready for Christmas – it’s perfect for anyone who loves hands-on, creative work.

| Overview | Join us for some fun and purposeful DIY workshops in collaboration with Bunnings. This November, we’ll be working on small projects to introduce participants to the space and the friendly staff. This is a great opportunity for participants to trial with our support services and decide if they’d like to join us for larger projects in 2024!

| Overview | Go Getter is excited to offer custom Christmas Hampers this December! We already have pre-orders to fulfill and are looking for participants eager to be part of the project.
This activity will encourage creativity and offers essential skills development including money management, teamwork, and social skills. Doing our best to source locally made products, we will curate our purchases into beautiful hampers ready to spread the Christmas cheer!
If you are seeking a unique corporate gift this Christmas, look no further! Orders are open until Friday, 1st of December, with local delivery available. Join us in making this holiday season special and meaningful. It’s important to note that this project isn’t about making money and the hampers are being sold at cost price to the community; it’s a fulfilling capacity-building opportunity for our participants.

| Overview | The truly Territorian, Darwin Christmas pageant is back! Join the Go Getter Team as we watch over 40 magnificent floats travel past us in Darwin CBD. Stay for some food, celebrations, and the lighting of the Darwin Christmas Tree!

| Overview | We’re teaming up with Karina at Small Steps, Big Change to offer an exclusive 4-week Health & Wellness Program, just for you! Over the 4 weeks, we will learn about setting personal goals, the importance and difference of food groups, and how to get your body moving with simple exercises you can replicate at home. We’ll also learn how to read recipes, experience grocery shopping together, and most importantly, how to whip up delicious and nutritious meals, complete with take-home recipes!
Karina is a qualified Health & Wellness Coach, and the first to be NDIS registered here in the Northern Territory. Karina uses a person centered approach and has the ability to adapt exercises and recipes to suit your personal needs.

| Overview | Do you have participants who love animals? Join us for a 6 week program where we will be supporting animals living in shelters, awaiting adoption into their perfect forever homes (aww!).
We will be supporting the animals by spending time with them ensuring they are adoption ready; ensuring they can comfortably be walked on a lead, learning positive training techniques, helping to keep their enclosure clean and even making them some tasty treats!
This program will be completed in a small group with the support of our animal loving support staff, who are inducted into the facility. Participants individual needs will be taken into consideration and supported accordingly. Let’s work to our strengths and help all these beautiful animals in need in the meantime!
